About

Jade Coast Design is a landscape design studio based in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. We design residential gardens that respond to both site conditions and the ways people live outdoors.

Our work focuses on creating landscapes that feel connected to place, with planting and layouts shaped by climate, soil, light, and existing site conditions. Each project is approached individually, responding to the character and needs of the space rather than following a fixed style.

We work closely with clients to create gardens that are functional, low-maintenance, and designed to designed to settle naturally over time.

Chloe Woodruff

Founder & Lead Designer

Chloe Woodruff was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, where she developed an early connection to coastal forests, rocky shorelines, and native plant communities.

She holds a degree in Horticultural Science and has over 15 years of experience in residential landscape design, installation, and ecological restoration. Her work combines technical knowledge with a strong sensitivity to place and planting design.

Her approach is grounded in practical site planning and thoughtful plant selection, with a focus on creating landscapes that feel calm, cohesive, and resilient over time. She designs outdoor spaces that encourage people to slow down, gather, and feel more connected to the land around them.
